- Open Outlook.
- Click the Tools menu, and select Account Settings...
- On the E-mail tab, click New...
- If you are prompted to Choose E-mail Service, select Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP, and click Next.
- Fill in all necessary fields to include the following information:
- Your Name: Enter your name as you would like it to appear in the From: field of outgoing messages.
- Email Address: Enter your full email address (username@yourdomain.com).
- Password: Enter your password that was sent to you.
- Manually configure server settings or additional server types:
Check this box to manually configure Outlook. - Select Internet E-mail and click Next.
- Verify your User Information, and enter the following additional information:
- Server Information
- Account Type: POP3
- Incoming mail server: mail.neitra.ch
- Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.west.cox.net if you are using Cox as a internet provider.
If not you might have to ask your provider which outgoing server they require.
If they don't require any, you can use mail.neitra.ch
or you can use your gmail outgoing server pop.gmail.com
and your authentication will be your gmail username and password - Logon Information:
User Name: Enter the username we sent you something like web(number)p(number)
Password: Enter your password we sent you - Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA):
Leave this option unchecked.

- If you selected mail.neitra.ch or pop.gmail.com as outgoing server (SMTP) click the More Settings... button, and select the Outgoing Server tab.
- Check the box next to My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication and select Use same settings as my incoming mail server.
- If you selected Cox earlier you don't need Authentication
(Uncheck My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication
- If you selected pop.gmail.com or mail.neitra.ch as the outgoing server (SMTP) click the Advanced tab, and check the box next to This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL) under Incoming Server (POP3).
In the Outgoing server (SMTP) box, enter 587, and select TLS from the drop-down menu next to Use the following type of encrypted connection:.
Cox does not require encrypted connection (SSL)
- Click OK.
- Click Test Account Settings...
After receiving Congratulations!
All tests completed successfully, click Close. - Click Next, and then click Finish.
- Congratulations!
You're done configuring your client to send and retrieve email messages.
If you would like to access your emails through a web browser or change your email settings like password or auto reply please go to
web(the-first-number-in-your-username).(yourdomain).com
Please fill in your info in the brackets and also remove the brackets. - You will see a login box please fill in your username: web(number)p(number)
- and your password.
